The aim has been to investigate and describe how gender-neutral design, concerning typefaces and colours, can be created. Based on my results I?ve designed a cover for a recipe-book to make it appealing to both women and men. I have been doing my research based on questions such as; Does feminine and masculine design, concerning typefaces and colours exist? And if so what characterizes it? Does gender-neutral design, concerning typefaces and colours exist? And if so what characterizes it? Is it possible to design a cover for a recipe-book in a gender-neutral way, concerning typefaces and colours? The first part of my research consists of a literature study based on keywords such as gender, graphic design, gender theory, typeface, androgynous, visual communication, colour, shape, feminine, masculine, and book design.

This thesis is based on design theory about how to build an application for the mobile platform, a scientific analysis and an application for grocery shopping and meal planning. The thesis also contains a valuation of the research and of the application. The valuation of the application was done by a usability test and an analysis of the results of the test.The application of the thesis has an easy navigation system, which is time saving and simple to use. Finding recipes with the associated ingredients is a quick fix. The search function can be used for searching freely after recipes as well as for separate ingredients. That makes it possible for the user to create own recipes from available ingredients.

During the period 2009-2013, investments in the Swedish national grid increase by a factor of ten compared to previous years. In order to fulfil their mission to manage the national grid in a safe, efficient and environmentally sound way, Svenska Kraftnät (Swedish National Grid) needs to take all these perspectives into account while planning new investments. To compare and relate perspectives of technology, economy and environment the same yard stick must be used. That yard stick is commonly money. A problem arises however as environmental issues are difficult to price.The purpose of this master?s degree project was to develop a tool for evaluation of environmental impact related to investments in the Swedish national grid.

Gender mainstreaming has been an internationally dominant policy since the mid 1990?s. In 2004, the Swedish government decided to implement gender mainstreaming within the Government Offices of Sweden. However, little research seems to have focused on the reasons for an organization's decision to implement gender mainstreaming. Consequently, the purpose of this study is to answer the question why the Government Offices of Sweden have decided to use gender mainstreaming.

Despite the recommendations of at least 30 minutes physical exercise per day, many individuals of our society do not get the recommended amount of physical activity.  To improve the situation a method called ?Fysisk Aktivitet på Recept, FAR (Physical Activity on Recipe). This means that licensed health- and medical staff, as district nurses are able to write prescriptions on physical activity to patients.Purpose: Was to highlight the district nurse?s experience in the role of the FAR-prescribers.Method: The study was conducted using qualitative method.

This analysis recommends not to use Windows Server 2008 without properevaluation in any system containing classified information. The reasons are too lowassurance and too weak authentication. If Windows Server 2008 is to be used itshould be supplemented with a stronger authentication mechanism. Hushållens sopor innehåller organiskt matavfall som skulle kunna bli fordonsgas.

Den finanskris som under 2008 drog in över Europa skadade omvärldens förtroende för banker och deras hantering och redovisning av kreditrisker. Transparensen i redovisningen ifrågasattes och krav på ökade upplysningar ställdes. I denna uppsats utreds om bankerna har tagit till sig av kritiken genom en undersökning av huruvida omfattningen av kreditriskupplys­ningar enligt IFRS 7 i 26 europeiska storbankers årsredovisningar har förändrats under 2008 jäm­fört med 2007. Det undersöks också om det finns några skillnader i omfattning av lämnade kreditriskupplysningar mellan studiens 10 undersökta banknationaliteter år 2007 och 2008. Studien har en kvantitativ ansats där 2007 och 2008 års årsredovisningar för de största europeiska bankerna studeras. Utifrån studien dras slutsatsen att kreditriskupplysningarna i europeiska storbankers årsredovisningar har ökat i omfattning mellan år 2007 och 2008.

The purpose of this thesis is to analyze how the ongoing controversy surrounding the Internet, the phenomena of digitalization and file sharing will affect the music industry in the form of the ?big five? labels. Furthermore the thesis aims to present a recipe of strategies for the companies? survival by studying their situation through a theoretical perspective in conjunction with a comparative analysis with industries facing the digitalization challenge. The theoretical contribution lies in the strategic perspective at an industry level.

The aim of the study was to investigate if some selected recipes could be hazardous for man; that is if pathogenic bacteria in raw ingredients could survive the cooking process. The study included three known pathogens, Listeria monocytogenes, Salmonella Typhimurium and Campylobacter jejuni. A known number of the bacterium chosen was added to the raw product. The dish was prepared according to the recipe and then a bacteriological investigation concerning the added pathogenic bacterium was performed. The results showed that all recipes tested could be hazardous; that is the added pathogen was still living after the cooking process..

Uppdragstaktik ? En studie i tillämpningen av uppdragstaktik vid artilleribataljonen 2008  Framtidens artilleribataljon är under utveckling vid Artilleriregementet, därav har jag valt att bidraga till denna process inom området ledning. Detta har utförts genom att undersöka hur uppdragstaktiken skall och har nyttjats vid bataljonen 2008. Syftet med uppsatsen är att bidra till utvecklingen av ledningsmetoder och ledningsprocesser vid artilleribataljonen. De frågeställningar som har använts för att uppnå syftet med uppsatsen är:Tillämpas teorierna om uppdragstaktik i reglemente och metodhandbok för artilleribataljon?Har uppdragstaktik tillämpats praktiskt vid ledningsprocessen av artilleriregementets insatsbataljon 2008?Vad har påverkat nyttjandet av uppdragstaktik praktiskt vid ledningsprocessen av artilleriregementets insatsbataljon 2008?   Jag har nyttjat metoden deskription och litteraturstudier för att svara på första frågeställning.

Concrete is a very common construction material. It´s characteristics are strength, durability and formablility. Superplasticizer is a common admixture, which changes the properties of concrete. Today (spring 2007) there are no certian mathematical methods to calculate the required percentage of this admixture needed to give the necessary set slump flow in the overall concrete recipe. Concrete batching companies must therefor experiment with different amount of superplasticizer in order to meet the specified slump and strength. The purpose og this report is to investigate if any mathematical relation can be established between the amount of superplasticizer used and the slump flow achieved. After carrying out some practical experiments using four different superplasticizers a direct relationship can be establish between the percentage of admixture used and the slump/flowability achieved. Unfortunatly at present due to the numerous variables, the calculation of mathematical formula can not be achieved..

Denna studie syftar till att se hur gestaltningen av det amerikanska presidentvalet 2008 såg ut i Dagens Nyheter, Svenska Dagbladet, Aftonbladet och Expressen. Studien bygger på en kvantitativ innehållsanalys av ett avgränsat insamlat material. Valdagen inföll den 4 november 2008. Den tidsperiod som studeras är nio nyhetsdygn med tidningsutgivning från och med 2008-10-28 till och med 2008-11-06 för DN och SvD samt från och med 2008-10-29 till och med 2008-11-06 för Aftonbladet och Expressen.
